Imagine yourself running your best race, by visualizing in your head how you would want to run at the beginning of the race, catching up to the person in front of you - during the race, and running to the finish line with all you got - at the end of the race. This is called Mental Rehearsal. Most Olympians put this into practice when they want to perform at a high level. By preparing yourself both mentally (visualizing your race) and physically (training at practice) you are able to accomplish greater things.
